“Poems and Short Stories”

“Smile”  God Loves You!

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting live.”

St. John chap. 3 ver. 16

What great Love!  God gave, His only Son to die on the cross for us, when we were slaves to sin and doomed to hell without a choice; but His death made it possible for us to make a connection with Him (God), again that we might through our prayers, call upon His name, repent of our sins and be saved.  God said in Isaiah chap. 1 verse 18, “Come now, let us reason together, saith the Lord:  Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow;  Though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

He can change your life; if only you would repent of your sins and invite Him into your heart.  Won’t you ask Him in today?

“The stone which the builder rejectedis become the head of the corner.”

                                                                                            Mark 12:10, Matt. 21:42

Have you accepted Jesus Christ in you life?  Or are you leaning and falling because of the missing stone? (Jesus Christ)

You see, our bodies were not made to function apart from God.  In St. John chap 15 ver. 4 Jesus says, “abide in me, and I in you; as the branch cannot bare fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more canye, except ye, abide in me.”

This is the reason for so much loneliness in the heart of people today.  Because the Great Salvation which was brought to us was rejected.  Your gain is eternal Life with Christ Jesus.  You loss is eternal Damanation in hell with the devil.

Your choice will soon be rewarded, or honored.

Your choice will soon be rewarded, or honored.  Which choice have you made?

Jesus, I Hope

What’s A Nice Guy Like You

Doing In A Place Like This?

What’s a nice guy like you doing in a place like this?

What’s a nice girl like you doing in a place like this?

God loves youso much that He sent His only Son Jesus Christ into the world to die for you.  So that you micht not perish but have everlasting life.

All you have to do is to believe in Him, and ask Him to come into your heart and forgive you of your sins and be Lord of  your life.  You’ve tried everything else and it’s failed you.

Why not try Jesus, He won’t fail you; He sees everything you do, and He hears everything you say.  He said He knows the number of hairs that are on your head.  Then He said that there is not one bird that falls to the ground without God knowing about it, so He Cares for you.

Would You Like to Be saved?

To be saved is to invite God into your heart to live and to be Lord of you life.  By saying unto Him, Lord come into my heart and forgive me of my sins, and live in me and be Lord of my life.  Then He will bring peace and joy to your heart.

It is not in man to direct  his own ways, you see we will always end up making a mess with our lives every time.  But God has given to us a blueprint to life and living, in His Word the Bible that comes only from god, who made you and I.

He Loves you, and proclaims that “He that cometh to me I will in no wise case out.”  St. John chapter 6 verse 37:  So why not receive Him into your heart right now!  he Loves You So Much!

St. John chapter 3 verse 16 says, “For God so Loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, But have everlasting life.”

Born 1930 – 1979

You definitely need to read the statement by Jay. Oh so true.

Those of You Born

1930 – 1979

At the end of this Email is a quote of the month by Jay Leno.. If you

don’t read anything else, Please Read what he Said.

Very well stated, Mr. Leno.

1930’s, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and 70’s!

First, we survived being born to mothers Who smoked and/or drank while

they were Pregnant.

They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, Tuna from a can and didn’t

get tested for diabetes.

Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby

cribs covered with bright colored lead-base paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, Locks on doors or

cabinets and when we rode Our bikes, we had baseball caps not helmets on

our heads.

As infants & children,

We would ride in cars with no car seats, No booster seats, no seat

belts, no air bags, bald tires and sometimes no brakes.

Riding in the back of a pick-up truck on a warm day Was always a special

We drank water

From the garden hose and not from a bottle.

We shared one soft drink with four friends, From one bottle and no one

actually died from this.

We ate cupcakes, white bread, real butter and bacon..

We drank Cool-Aid made with real white sugar.

And, we weren’t overweight.

Because we were

Always outside playing…that’s why!

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, As long as we were

back when the Streetlights came on.

No one was able

To reach us all day. And, we were O.K.

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps And then ride

them down the hill, only to find out We forgot the brakes. After running

into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.

We did not have Playstations, Nintendo’s and X-boxes.

There were no video games, no 150 channels on cable, No video movies or

DVD’s, no surround-sound or CD’s, No cell phones, No personal computers,

no Internet and no chat rooms. WE HAD FRIENDS And we went outside and

found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth And there were no

lawsuits from these accidents.

We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, And the worms did not live in

us Forever.

We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, Made up games with sticks

and tennis balls and, Although we were told it would happen, We did not

put out very many eyes.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend’s house and Knocked on the door or

rang the bell, or just Walked in and talked to them.

Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team.

Those who didn’t had to learn to deal

With disappointment.

Imagine that!!

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law Was unheard of.

They actually sided with the law!

These generations have produced some of the best Risk-takers, problem

solvers and inventors ever.

The past 50 years

Have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned how

to deal with it all.

If YOU are one of them?

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow

up as kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated so much of

our lives for our own good .

While you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how brave

and lucky their parents were.

Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn’t

it ?

The quote of the

month is by Jay Leno:

“With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding,

severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and

with the threat of swine flu and terrorist attacks.

Are we sure this is a good time

to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?’

For those that prefer to think that God is not watching over us.. ..go

ahead and delete this.

For the rest of

us…pass this on.

A Small Prayer!

God determines who walks into your life….it’s up to you to decide who

you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go.

I need this back. If you’ll do this for me, I’ll do it for you.

When there is nothing left but God, that is when you find out that God

is all you need. Take 60 seconds and give this a shot! All you do is

simply say the following small prayer for the person who sent you this.

God bless my friend in whatever it is that You know they may need this

And may their life be full of your peace, prosperity, and power as

he/she seeks to have a closer relationship with you.

Then send it on to five other people, including the one who sent it to

you Within hours you will have caused a multitude of people to pray for

other people. Then sit back and watch the power of God work in your

P. S… Five is good, but more is better.

Ruby R. Solomon

Satan called a worldwide convention.  In his opening address to hi evil angels, he said, “We need to know what to do.  We can’t keep Christians from going to church.  We can’t keep them from reading their Bibles and knowing the truth.  We can’t even keep them from their conservative values.  But we can do something else.  We can keep them from forming a intimate, abiding relationship experience with Christ.  If they gain that connection with Jesus, our power over them is broken.  So, let them go to church, let them have their conservative lifestyles, but steal their time, so they can’t gain that experience with Jesus Christ.  This is what I want you to do demons.  Distract them from gaining hold of their Savior and maintaining that vital connection throughout their day!”

“How shall we do this?” shouted his demons.

“Keep them busy in the nonessentials of life and invent unnumbered schemes to occupy their minds.” He answered.  “Tempt them to spend, spend, spend then borrow, borrow, borrow.  Convince the wives to go to work for long hours and the husbands to work six or seven days a week, ten to twelve hours a day so they can afford their lifestyles.  Keep them from spending time with their children.  As their families fragment, soon their homes will offer no escape from the pressures of work.”

“Overstimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that still voice.  Entice them to play the radio or cassett player whenever they drive, to keep they TV, VCR, CD’s and their PC’s going constantly in their homes.  And see to it that every store and restuarant in the world plays nonbiblical music constantly.  This will jam their minds and break that union with Christ”.

“Fill their coffee tables with magazines and newspapers.  Pound their minds with news 24 hours a day.  Invade their driving moments with billboards.  Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, sweepstakes mail order catalogues, and every kind of newletter and promotional offering, free products, services and false hopes.”

“Even in their recreation, let them be excessive.  Have them return from their recreation exhausted, disquieted, and unprepared for the coming week.  Don’t let them go out in nature to reflect on God’s wonders.  Send them to amusement parks.  Involve them in gossip and small talk so that they leave with troubled consciences and unsettled emotions.”

“Let them be involved in soul-winning.  But crowd their lives with so many good causes that they have no time to seek power from Christ.  Soon, they will be working on their own strength, sacrificing their health and family unity for the good of the cause.  Now Go!”

It was quite a convention in the end.  And the evil angels went eargerly to their assigments causing Christians everywhere to get busy, busy, busy and rush here and there.

Has he been successful at his scheme?  You be the judge.

Let’s not allow the enemy to distract us.

God’s Plan

Some things are beyond planning.

And life doesn’t always turn out as planned.

You don’t plan for a broken heart.

You don’t plan for a failed business venture.

You don’t plan for an adulterous husband

or wife who wants you out of their life.

You don’t plan for an autistic child.

You don’t plan for spinsterhood.

You don’t plan for a lump in your breast.

You plan to be young forever.

You plan to climb the corporate ladder.

You plan to be rich and powerful.

You plan to be acclaimed and successful.

You plan to conquer the universe.

You plan to fall in love – and be loved forever

You don’t plan to be sad.

You don’t plan to be hurt.

You don’t plan to be broke.

You don’t plan to be betrayed.

You don’t plan to be alone in this world.

You plan to be happy. You don’t plan to be shattered.

Sometimes if you work hard enough, you can get what you want.

But MOST times, what you want and what you get

are two different things.

We, mortals, plan. But so does God in the heavens.

Sometimes, it is difficult to understand God’s plans especially

when His plans are not in consonance with ours.

Often, when God sends us crisis, we turn to Him in anger.

True, we cannot choose the cross that God wishes us to carry,

but we can carry that cross with courage knowing that God will

never abandon us nor send something we cannot cope with.

Sometimes, God breaks our spirit to save our soul.

Sometimes, He breaks our heart to make us whole.

Sometimes, God allows pain so we can be stronger.

Sometimes, God sends us failure so we can be humble.

Sometimes, God allows illness so we can take better care of ourselves.

Sometimes, God takes everything away from us

so we can learn the value of everything He gave us.

Make plans, but understand that we live by God’s grace.

Failure is never final!  The only time you can’t afford to fail

is the very last time you try.

Failure doesn’t mena I’m a failure; it just means

I haven’t yet succeeded.

Failure doesn’t mean I have accomplished nothing;

it just means I’ve learned something.

Failure doesn’t mean I’ve been a fool;

it just means I had enough faith to experiment.

Failure doesn’t mena I’ve been disgraced;

it just means I dared to try.

Failure doesn’t mean I don’t have what it takes; i

it  just means I must do things differently the next time.

Failure doesn’t mean I’m inferior;

it just means I am not perfect.

Failure doesn’t mean I’ve wasted my time;

it just means I have a reason to start over.

Failure doesn’t mean I should five up;

it just means I should try harder.

Failure doesn’t mean I’ll never make it;

it just means I need more patience.

Failure doesn’t mean Iam wrong;

it just means I must find a better way.

Failure doesn’t mean God has abandoned me;

it just means I must continue to diligently seek His will.
